Breakfast Ministry

St. Benedicts Breakfast Ministry offers a free community breakfast every fourth Saturday of the month. We open our doors at 7:00 am serving all those who enter until 9.30 am. The ministry team arrives at 6:00 am to begin preparing breakfast.  We serve biscuits, gravy, sausage and eggs along with coffee ,juice and milk.  The ministry also provides sack lunches to everyone and during the winter months we offer coats, gloves, hats and blankets. It is our hope that we can not only nourish the physical body but also the soul . The ministry began April 2012 and to date we have been able to provide minor services like tending to cut and scraps, praying for those in attendance (as requested) and on a few occasions a request for our pastor to council.  Each member of the team is dedicated to this service. Each time we gather we pray as a team  in the kitchen for God’s blessings .

Please continue to pray that God sends us those in need and that through the Holy Spirit we are able to fill their needs as God would have us do.

The corporal works of mercy: 
feeding the hungry 
giving drink to the thirsty 
clothing the naked 
offering hospitality to the homeless 
caring for the sick 
visiting the imprisoned 
burying the dead 
 

The spiritual works of mercy: 
admonishing the sinner 
instructing the ignorant 
counseling the doubtful 
comforting the sorrowful 
bearing wrongs patiently 
forgiving all injuries 
praying for the living and the dead
